Unlocking Potential: Building a Growth Mindset in University Students through Group Coaching
This workshop will explore benefits of group coaching to students. It will take participants through a group coaching experience, similar to the one offered to undergraduate students in one of the London-based university in a form of five 2-hour coaching workshops on a weekly basis as part of their consultancy training module, and will demonstrate a couple of tools such as a Growth Mindset and a Solutions Focus goal setting exercise in order to facilitate the participants’ experiential learning.
As the government’s strategy became to expand the skill base in the UK (HEA, 2012) developing students’ confidence, self-belief and self-efficacy in order to develop their employability gained its importance (Artess et al., 2017). Coaching has been shown to increase self-efficacy (Molyn, 2018; Goldin et al., 2012), self-awareness (Baek-Kyoo, 2005), resilience (Molyn, 2018) and meta cognitive skills (Howlett, et al., 2021).

Imperfection is the New Perfection
Through this workshop participants will be introduced to the idea of kintsugi, which is grounded in the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, celebrating the beauty of impermanence, imperfection, and incompleteness.
Dating back to the 15th century in Japan, it became a common practice among samurai and nobility, who prized the unique beauty of kintsugi-repaired pottery. Today, its popularity and relevance has grown not only because of its visual appeal but also for the deep philosophical meaning it carries.
Join this workshop to find out how a traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery using gold or silver lacquer, may result a unique piece that does not hide the damage but instead highlights any cracks and imperfections - forming a new approach to embracing vulnerability, resilience, and transformation.

The Art of Enough: Building your personal version of being and doing enough.
So many leaders that I coach tell me that they experience some version of ‘imposter syndrome’. So many leaders are juggling huge complexity and volume – some even talk of a ‘burn out epidemic’, and all of us are facing the challenges of living with climate change. It’s time that we re-connected with the idea of ‘enough’. We CAN be, do and have enough – and when we do, we thrive.
This workshop will give you the chance to hear more about Becky’s approach and to experience using two key tools that will help you – and your coaching clients - to explore
your personal version of being and doing enough.

Coaching by Drawing: The potential of Visualisation in Coaching
This workshop will explore how drawing can be useful in coaching and share knowledge about drawing coaching tools.
Unsurprisingly, drawing can bring greater clarity to ongoing conversations between coach and coachee. Drawing brings new thoughts and ideas to the surface, and these visualizations can offer unique perspectives when confronting various challenges or difficult decisions. Drawing can help align everyone in a group with a singular vision and can be an integral part of mapping and achieving specific goals.
Most of us have personal experience that a visual experience stays with us much more strongly in the long term than the words we hear or read. Our brain can absorb visual content more easily and energy-efficiently, and we can remember it much longer than what we heard during a conversation.
