Five Day Challenge

The 5DC is for coaches and mentors who have already achieved the learning and experience that they need for individual accreditation (EIA) but who have got stuck in the process. We bring them together in small cohort groups led by a facilitator, for one hour a day for five days - with the intention that the participants will be ready to press ‘send’ on their application email by Day Five.

Are you a coach or a mentor who needs some help completing their application for individual accreditation (EIA) with EMCC Global? 

Holding an EIA is a way of demonstrating to your peers and your clients that you are serious about your professional development, that you subscribe to a globally recognised code of ethics, and that you maintain and build on the highest standards.

It shows that you are part of the EMCC Global family, and able to draw on the combined experience and expertise of some of the best-performing coaches, mentors, and supervisors across the world.

But we know that sometimes people appreciate some support in their application. Maybe you cannot find the time, or you have questions about the paperwork. Perhaps you are not sure if your learning and experience will be sufficient. Or perhaps you are not prioritising time for yourself.

Whatever it is, if you already have your learning and hours of experience in place, then the EMCC Global Five Day Challenge (5DC) could be for you. EMCC Cyprus has teamed up with EMCC Global to deliver a week of focussed mentoring, one hour each day!

As a participant you will join a group of coaches and mentors who are all at the same point in their career as you - you would work as a group with the guidance of an EMCC Cyprus volunteer facilitator in a peer accountability group. By the end of Day Five we hope you will be ready to press ‘submit’ on your application.

• A personal statement explaining why and how you coach, your approach, your purpose and motivation

•  Evidence of education and learning (EMCC Global recognises all prior learning irrespective of the body under which you have learned)

• Experience of coaching:

• Foundation level: at least one year’s experience (minimum 50 hours) and at least five clients over one year
• Practitioner level: at least three years’ experience (minimum 100 hours) and at least 10 clients over three years
• Senior practitioner: at least five years’ experience (minimum 250 hours) and at least 20 clients over five years

• Commitment to ongoing CPD, supervision, reflective practice and logs

• Commitment to the Global Code of Ethics and EMCC Global Diversity and Inclusion Declaration
